With Ali Marpet’s retirement, Bucs have another hole to fill

The Buccaneers’ off-season search for player talent just got more complicated.

In addition to finding a new quarterback following the retirement of Tom Brady, the Bucs must now replace a key member of the offensive line following Pro Bowl guard Ali Marpet’s surprise announcement that he is retiring.

“After seven formidable years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, I’ve come to the decision to retire from the game that has given me so much,” Marpet said.

The Bucs took Marpet in the second round of the 2015 draft. He started 101 games, playing guard and center, and missed just 12 games.
