Georgina Corrick, a senior pitcher for the University of South Florida softball team, now holds the career strikeout record for the American Athletic Conference.
She has 906 k’s for her career after striking out 11 as the Bulls upset No. 13-ranked Michigan 4-1. Corrick broke the record of 903 held by Tulsa’s Emily Watson.
The Bulls are 3-1 for the season. They are idle until Friday when they open play at the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational at the Eddie C. Moore Complex. USF plays Notre Dame on Friday, followed by games Saturday against Oklahoma State and Auburn. They conclude Sunday against Wisconsin.
