Developer Blue Sky Communities and other partners celebrated the opening of Bear Creek Commons on Dec. 11.

The $25 million project, an 85-unit affordable senior housing development located at 635 64th Street South, is supported by a public-private collaboration, offering energy-efficient units with rents at 30%, 60% and 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).

Mayor Ken Welch praised the project’s role in creating stable housing and strengthening neighborhoods.

Managed by Carteret Management, Bear Creek Commons features amenities such as a game room and 24-hour support services.

The development highlights the City of St. Petersburg’s commitment to affordable housing through innovative partnerships.
