Back in 2013, when most performance automakers were dialing things back to survive the Recession, Lamborghini gave us this: a $4 million, 740-horsepower Italian Batmobile called the Veneno.
Pronounced beh-NEE-no, this eye-popping hypercar was designed to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. Only 13 were ever made – four coupes and nine topless roadsters – so you’re very unlikely to see one.
Former tech CEO Antoine Dominic was one of the lucky few chosen by Lamborghini to buy one. At the time, all he got was an artist’s rendering – but he immediately wired $4 million regardless. Smart move, since it’s now worth $10 million-plus.
