She’s already making waves, hinting on an interview Luna gave to Steve Bannon that she may vote against Kevin McCarthy in the race for House Speaker, a move that would align her with fellow Florida Republican Matt Gaetz.
Luna ran on a Trump-aligned ticket and could bring an added level of populist conservative leadership to the Sunshine State.
Luna, an Air Force veteran, is the first Mexican-American woman from Florida ever elected to Congress.
