Cross-Bay Ferry provides New Years’ schedule, plans for celebration

The Cross-Bay Ferry is urging passengers to plan ahead for New Years Eve, where St. Pete departures may be affected by events.

Access to the ferry via drop-off may be tough in St. Pete, where traffic will shut down on Bayshore Drive Northeast starting at 3 p.m. The ferry will also have no flexibility in its departure times from St. Pete on Dec. 31 because of a Tampa Bay Lightning game starting at 7 p.m.

Passengers can celebrate New Years on the 11 p.m. ferry from Tampa, where they can catch a fireworks show from the bay.
