Many Americans have economic fears, but Baby Boomers are particularly concerned about outliving their savings and investments. More than half of Boomers are planning to work past age 65 to continue earning income and maintain benefits.
A local nonprofit enterprise called Encore Tampa Bay is connecting local businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofits with people who are looking for meaningful paid work or volunteer service in the second half of life, or “encore.”
The organization helps Boomers identify their personal passions and find ways to pursue an encore career, which often combines personal meaning with social impact and continued income.
