St. Pete ranks ‘best run’ city in Florida

report from WalletHub has named St. Petersburg the “best run” city in Florida.

The report compiled the operating efficiency of 150 of the largest U.S. cities. It scored cities on 38 metrics grouped into six service categories, including f inancial stability, education, health, safety, economy and infrastructure & pollution. St. Pete ranked 41 overall, earning its highest score in “financial stability” and its second highest in “health.” The city earned its lowest score in the “economy” metric.

Neighboring Tampa ranked 81 among all the cities, and sixth in Florida. Tampa earned its highest score in health, and lowest in economy.
