The early days of 2023 Major League Baseball have seen a series of streaks for the Tampa Bay Rays, including a historic opening run that saw them go 13 straight games without a loss.
Now they’re on a new streak, but in the wrong direction.
They’ve been shut out twice, in a row, by defending World Series champs the Houston Astros. It’s only the second time the Rays have been shut out in back-to-back games in the past six years, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Still, the team has an impressive 20-5 record, the best in baseball right now.
