USF fires Jeff Scott after another brutal loss

by The 100 Companies

Jeff Scott did everything right as USF’s football coach except for one important thing—he didn’t win enough games.

Scott was fired Sunday following a 54-28 loss Saturday at Temple. That dropped Scott’s record in three years to 4-26, and only one win was against a Division I team.

Special Teams Coordinator Daniel Da Prato will serve as interim head coach for the final three games of this season.

Vice President Michael Kelly praised Scott as “a tremendous person and class individual” who changed USF’s culture and was instrumental in upgrading football facilities.

Scott said that he “fully supports” Kelly’s decision.
