A fourth-quarter collapse doomed USF’s women’s basketball team against UCF Thursday in the championship game of the American Athletic Conference tournament.

The Bulls led by two points after three quarters but the Knights pulled away for a 53-45 victory at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

USF’s record fell to 24-8 but the Bulls likely will receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The women’s draw is Sunday at 8 p.m.

USF’s Elena Tsineke and Bethy Mununga were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Also on Thursday, the USF men’s team fell to UCF 60-58 in the opening ACC Tournament game.
