USF hoops gets a split decision against UCF

The No. 24-ranked USF women’s basketball team had a long drive to Orlando to face rival UCF in the War on I-4. It was a longer drive back after the Knights cruised to a 67-51 victory.

The loss dropped USF to 12-5 on the year and 2-1 in American Athletic Conference play. UCF improved to 12-2 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

However, the USF men’s team surprised UCF with a 75-51 blowout at the Yuengling Center.

Javon Greene had a team-high 19 points and nine rebounds for the Bulls, who improved to 6-10 overall and 1-3 in the AAC.
