Sunday will mark the 20th NFL playoff game in Buccaneers history and the fifth time they have played the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s more than any other opponent.
The Bucs are 2-2 so far against the Eagles, but both wins were memorable. In 1979, Tampa Bay upset Philadelphia 24-17 in the Bucs’ first playoff game ever. And in 2003, they stunned the Eagles 27-10 in the NFC Championship game to advance to their first Super Bowl.
The team is headed to the playoffs after beating the Carolina Panthers 41-17 Sunday night, making for a record regular season with a 13-4 record.
