Outback Bowl set for New Year’s Day

by The 100 Companies

While the pandemic forced cancellation of some bowl games, Arkansas and Penn State remain on track to play the Outback Bowl Saturday at Raymond James Stadium.

This is the first meeting between these teams from the Southeastern Conference and Big Ten, respectively.

It’s the second bowl game played at the stadium this holiday season.

On Dec. 23, UCF defeated the Florida Gators 29-17 before a bowl-record crowd of 63,699 fans.

Two bowl game cancellations were announced Sunday with COVID-19 issues affecting Boston College and the University of Virginia, with a third threatened as a team looks for a replacement opponent.
