COVID-19 impacts Lightning season

by The 100 Companies

A National Hockey League matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche was one of several games postponed because of soaring COVID-19 infections throughout the league.

No date has been set for the makeup.

Four teams, including the Florida Panthers, have shut down through the Christmas break. The league announced new protocols to mitigate the outbreak. The league will resume daily testing for players and coaches, and potentially implement pre-game testing “on a case-by-case basis” in the event of a COVID outbreak within a team.

The Lightning announced in September that all players and coaches have been vaccinated.
