Jeff Vinik hosts party for Lightning Stanley Cup wins, presents championship rings

The Lightning celebrated their back-to-back Stanley Cup titles with a private party at owner Jeff Vinik’s Tampa home. Team members received their championship rings.

This is no ordinary ring.

It includes 30 sapphires set atop a bed of 45 diamonds, with the words “Stanley Cup Champions” along the top and bottom. Another 56 diamonds are around the top.

Engraved on the side, is the player’s name and jersey number, as well as with team slogans and other messages.

Fans can purchase a limited edition copy of the ring from Jostens for a mere $12,707. Less expensive replicas also are available.
