A new economic study by Gensler on the proposed Clearwater Bluffs project has found it would create a nearly $800 million economic impact.
The project is expected to generate nearly $640 million in total economic impact during construction, with another $151 million in economic impact from project operations.
The project is expected to create 5,910 construction jobs.
Clearwater residents will vote in a citywide referendum on the project, which would allow for the sale of downtown property and pave the way for a new 158-room hotel, 500-600 apartments, dining options, retail stores and new event and green spaces.
