Pete Boland, Mike Harting head to St. Pete City Council runoff in November

by The 100 Companies

Restaurateur Pete Boland and 3 Daughters Brewery owner Mike Harting are facing off in a runoff Nov. 5 after securing the top two spots in the August Primary Election.

The two are running to replace incumbent Ed Montanari.

While the race is nonpartisan, Boland is a registered Republican while Harting isn’t affiliated with a party. The District 3 seat skews Republican, but for the runoff the two will face voters citywide, where Democrats have a voter registration advantage.

The race should be close, with both candidates proving to be aggressive fundraisers. They’re also both staffed with top-notch local political consultants.
