Adventures Archery in Brandon is the largest indoor range in the Southeast, but you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy it.
The range allows beginners to start out small and work their way up. After a quick introductory lesson, I was channeling my inner Katniss Everdeen.
I did pretty well shooting from 5 to 10 yards, but I definitely could use more practice on the 20-yard targets.
My advice? Don’t put a chokehold on the bow. If you do, the string will snap your forearm repeatedly, leaving an ugly bruise that lasts much longer than the fun.
