Yoga Helps Wounded Warriors

Yoga’s gentle movements and breathing techniques are a proven way to strengthen the body, release tension and stress, and relieve insomnia and depression.

The Exalted Warrior Foundation has an adaptive yoga program designed for veterans who are overcoming physical and mental injuries like amputations, PTSD and traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries that were sustained during their military service.

Donations from Give Day will help the nonprofit provide free yoga instruction to veterans at various Tampa yoga studio locations. The Foundation is hosting a special “Sweat! Stretch! Rest!” class May 2 for veterans and their friends to celebrate Give Day.
