Stageworks Theatre Presents The Great Gatsby

In playwright Simon Levy’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby,” self-made millionaire Jay Gatsby pursues the elusive, married Daisy Buchanan against the glamour and decadence of the Jazz Age. Long Island newcomer Nick Carraway is drawn into their world of obsession and greed.

Critics have praised Levy for understanding that “Fitzgerald’s words are sacred and can’t be improved upon.” Levy’s adaptation holds exclusive rights from the Fitzgerald Estate, and it’s the only stage version produced in the U.S. and Canada.

“The Great Gatsby” begins at Tampa’s Stageworks Theatre tomorrow and it runs through Dec. 18.
