This summer, your idea of origami as just folded paper will be transformed at a new exhibition opening at the end of the month at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg.
“Above the Fold: New Expressions in Origami” is the first traveling exhibit to bring origami from around the world to audiences across North America. It features works from nine artists representing seven countries.
The exhibit showcases paper art in the form of conceptual works, installations and sculptures, like Jiangmei Wu’s 20-foot-long sculpture. The exhibit will be on view at the MFA June 22 through Sept. 29.
