From Holiday Pops to Handel’s ‘Messiah’

Nothing can get people into the holiday spirit quite like music. The Florida Orchestra features several holiday performances this month.

If you love jolly yuletide carols like “Let it Snow” and “Sleigh Ride,” Holiday Pops performances run Dec. 15 – 17 in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater.

For those seeking a grander, more spiritual experience, the Orchestra under Music Director Michael Francis is performing George Frideric Handel’s divine masterpiece, “Messiah.” Come see why the piece has awed audiences for more than 275 years. Performances run Dec. 21 – 23 at Idlewild Baptist Church, Mahaffey Theater and First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks.
