The arts are central to a community’s quality of life and economy. The Florida Orchestra improves the community’s access to live classical music by taking it beyond the concert hall and into the local community.
Ticket sales only cover one-third of the Orchestra’s operating expenses, and donations are critical to creating its free community programming. For example, free Masterworks tickets are available to patrons ages 5-18 through the Orchestra’s Classical Kids program. The Orchestra also holds live performances for free throughout the year in such places as parks, veterans facilities, retirement centers, hospitals, shopping centers and craft breweries.
