Through Shy Wolf Sanctuary’s Healing Hearts program, at-risk children, individuals in grief counseling and veterans suffering from physical and/or emotional wounds are guided through a therapeutic animal encounter.
Because our animals come to us from abused, abandoned and neglected situations, a healing connection is made with humans who have had similar experiences in their lives. Shy Wolf’s resident animals teach about kindness, forgiveness, gratitude, courage and unconditional love.
Through the generosity of donors and local foundations, Healing Hearts is currently offered free-of-charge to organizations like Wounded Warriors, Avow Hospice, the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida and Home Base of SWFL.
