Tampa Tiger Bay Club to explore history of Cuban sandwich

by The 100 Companies

Was the Cuban sandwich really invented in Tampa? How did this simple mix of savory ingredients become known as a Cuban sandwich?

The Tampa Tiger Bay Club will explore those questions and more this Friday, Sept. 16 as it hosts authors Andy Huse, Bárbara Cruz and Jeff Houck to share the evolution of Tampa’s sandwich in their new book, “The Cuban Sandwich: A History in Layers.”

The event is set for noon at The Cuban Club in Ybor City. Cuban sandwiches will be served for lunch prepared by Tony’s Ybor Catering.

More information and tickets are available here.
