The iconic TECO Manatee Viewing Center has opened.
Visitors can watch as manatees, sometimes in the hundreds, gather in the clean, warm water discharge from TECO’s Big Bend Power Station.
Take advantage of other offerings at the Manatee Viewing Center, such as hiking the nature trail and climbing the 50-foot observation tower for beautiful views. Or check out the stingrays and gently pet them as they swim in the touch tank
Occasionally, visitors can also spot eagle rays and spinner sharks jumping out of the water, which makes for an impressive show.
The center will remain open until April 15, 2023.
