Port Tampa Bay became the first port in the country to receive National Maritime Law Enforcement Academy’s Maritime Security Accreditation and Digitization Program accreditation, the organization announced this week.
The collaborative group of maritime stakeholders in the private, public and research sectors, through the accreditation program, evaluate organizations based on standards established to measure “ADaPtiveness.”
“Port Tampa Bay strives to be a leader in security, safety and resiliency. I could not think of a better way to prove our commitment to our highest priorities than achieving accreditation through the Maritime Security Accreditation and Digitization Program,” said Port CEO Paul Anderson.
