Publix files lawsuit against New York-based company over ‘P’ design

by The 100 Companies

Publix has filed a lawsuit against a New York-based business that the grocery store chain alleges uses a letter in its logo a bit to similar to the one of the Florida supermarket.

The lawsuit is over the use of a single letter, the “p” in Pharmapacks, the business being sued by Publix. The online company sells health, beauty and wellness products.

The suit claims Pharmapacks’ “p,” which is blue, is similar to the green “p” in the Publix logo, which has been trademarked by the chain. Both of the “p’s” are in white font and contained in a circle.
