Ron DeSantis names two to Judicial Nominating Commission

Gov. Ron DeSantis has named two Florida attorneys to nominating commissions in Tampa and South Florida.

He tapped Tampa Associate Attorney for Shutts & Bowen Elise Engle to the 13th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.

Engle is a University of Florida alumnus and earned her law degree from Gulfport’s Stetson University College of Law. She’ll serve a term ending July 1, 2023.

DeSantis also appointed Talisman & DeLorenz Senior Partner Steven DeLorenz, a Boca Raton resident, to the 15th Judicial Nominating Commission. DeLorenz’ term runs through July 1, 2024. DeLorenz earned his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and his law degree from Pepperdine University.
