Zillow has ranked Tampa Bay as the country’s top housing market in its recently released 2022 annual analysis. Tampa Bay took the No. 1 spot, jumping from its No. 4 ranking last year.
So, what does it mean?
Zillow economists expect home values in Tampa Bay to rise 24.6% in the next year. That’s because housing has not quite kept up with the recent job boom in the area. Zillow also found that despite the pandemic, Tampa added 0.63 jobs per new housing unit.
Two other Florida cities also ranked high in the report: Jacksonville (No. 2) and Orlando (No. 9).
