Seth Weightman has announced his run for the Pasco County Commission, hoping to succeed District 2 Commissioner Mike Moore, who announced his retirement last week.
Moore has already endorsed Weightman as his successor. He is running as a conservative and works as the municipal services manager for Republic Services Inc. He also runs a family business with his wife.
“I have heard firsthand from many Pasco residents about the needs in our community. That is why I’m running,” Weightman said.
Weightman’s platforms include strengthening the local economy, investing in sustainable infrastructure, promoting public safety and implementing smart growth and development.
