From police dogs and bicycle seats to social media and moments of silence, dozens of new laws will take effect in Florida on July 1.
The new laws are among the changes proposed by lawmakers during the 2021 Legislative Session. In all, legislators filed more than 3,000 bills; only 259 were approved.
While some proposals inflamed political tensions, others brought lawmakers together. Among the more popular proposals was a bill allowing Floridians to purchase to-go drinks.
Lawmakers also rallied around a proposal to restore and protect historic and abandoned cemeteries in Florida.
The measures take effect July 1.
