The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has apprehended Hamzah Samir Othman, a two-time convicted felon and gang member, following his probation check failure on Thursday, June 8.
HCSO detectives obtained information that Othman possessed firearms and secured a search warrant for his Tampa residence on Fawnridge Circle.
Othman faces six counts of felon in possession of a firearm, armed trafficking in cocaine and oxycodone and armed possession of ecstasy. The search yielded six firearms, $5,000 in cash, high-end watches worth approximately $110,000 and drugs.
Sheriff Chad Chronister emphasized the seriousness of upholding the law and commended detectives’ commitment to community safety.
