A weekend getaway in D.C.

I recently visited my former college roommate in Washington, D.C., with no big weekend plans. Luckily, she planned a sightseeing adventure for us that’s well worth repeating:

– Day 1: Rent bikes and sightsee at the National Mall. Be sure to walk your bikes through memorials.

– Day 2: Catch an afternoon Washington Nationals baseball game. Stop by the Bullpen, an outdoor bar area with food trucks and live music that’s open pre- and post-game.

– Day 3: Start with brunch and then relax at a rooftop bar like POV (with views of the White House) or at The Watergate Hotel.
