PDQ stands for “People Dedicated to Quality,” and the chain knows that employees set them apart from other restaurants. Several of PDQ’s employees throughout various locations have disabilities, and having meaningful job opportunities helps these employees reach their goals and overcome adversity.
Sam Piazza, an employee with Down syndrome, has been a shining example for PDQ. He has formed strong relationships with the community as well as being an important part of the team.
The documentary “Because of Sam” at the Tampa Theatre features his successes. Tickets for the July 29 screening at 7:30 p.m. are $12.50.
