The Rays turn 20: Let the party begin

The Rays are 20 years old this year, and they have some fun things planned to celebrate:

– Throwback nights: June 9 is the first of three throwback nights, as players will wear an original 1998 Devil Rays uniform.

– Decade celebrations: The Rays will celebrate its 1998 inaugural team on March 31 and its 2008 American League championship team on Aug. 3-4.

– Honoring of key Devil Rays players: Attendees of certain games can win bobbleheads of such former team stars as Fred McGriff and Wade Boggs, the first major leaguer to hit a home run for his 3,000th hit.
