Congressional candidates Jerry Torres, James Judge and Sam Nashagh are each hoping to take the Republican nomination for a chance to unseat incumbent Congresswomen Kathy Castor.
After a back-and-forth legal battle, Torres will appear on the ballot along with fellow candidates.
Whoever wins the Republican nomination in CD 14 faces an enormous uphill climb against incumbent Castor, the likely Democratic nominee, as she seeks her ninth term to represent the Tampa district.
The seat is heavily Democratic, covering downtown Tampa and St. Petersburg. About 58.8% of district voters went for Joe Biden in 2020, and just 39.72% favored Donald Trump.
