Tampa Bay Rays unlikely partner in St. Pete parking woes

by The 100 Companies

The Tampa Bay Rays and the city of St. Petersburg have tentatively reached an agreement to allow public parking on six lots at Tropicana Field on non-game days.

Under the agreement, the Rays are asking the city to enforce parking violations, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The agreement would add hundreds of parking spaces for public use in the Edge and Grand Central districts.

City Council is on deck to approve new code allowing the agreement at its meeting April 6.

The Times reports the city and Rays still need to coordinate operational planning and install signs in the lots.
