University of South Florida President Rhea Law announced the appointment of Prasant Mohapatra as the school’s new provost and executive vice president of academic affairs.
Mohapatra previously served at the University of California, Davis as vice chancellor for research. He was also a distinguished professor in the Department of Computer Science, and held multiple leadership positions at UC Davis, including dean and vice provost of graduate studies, associate chancellor, interim vice provost and chief information officer.
“His extensive teaching, research and leadership experience will help build on our momentum and take USF to new heights of academic excellence,” Law said.
