Tampa Bay Winners and Losers of the week

Winner: Tampa’s new SAFE initiative. The Tampa Police Department will replace its controversial Crime Free program with Safety Awareness for Everyone.

Under SAFE, police will no longer inform landlords that their tenants were arrested. Previously, police sent notices encouraging landlords to evict tenants for even minor crimes.

Loser: Antonio Brown and Mike Edwards. Both Buccaneers players are serving three-game suspensions by the NFL for violating league vaccine protocols for COVID-19.

Coach Bruce Arians, when asked if both players will remain on the team after their suspensions, answered, “We’ll address their future at that time.”

“It pisses me off,” Arians added.
