Bucs make cuts as pre-season continues

by The 100 Companies

The Buccaneers wasted little time in reducing their training camp roster to the 80-man limit. They waived five players on Sunday, two days before the roster limit deadline.

Gone are outside linebacker Quinton Bell, safety Nate Brooks, wide receiver T.J. Simmons, safety Lawrence White and running back Troymaine Pope.

The Bucs have to be at the 53-man roster limit by Aug. 31.

Tampa Bay is 0-2 in exhibition games after losing a 34-3 stinker at home Saturday against Tennessee. The Bucs played exclusively with backups.

Head Coach Bruce Arians said, “I’m not looking at the score, I’m looking at individuals.”
