Mayor Jane Castor and former Mayor Bob Buckhorn joined Coastal Construction Thursday morning to break ground on a new, 31-story luxury apartment complex in Downtown Tampa.

The high rise Arts and Entertainment Residences (AER) is set to have 334 units, expected to open spring  2024.  Developed  by American Land Ventures with Gazit Horizons, the building will be situated across from the Straz Center in the city’s river front arts district   at  300 West Tyler Street.

AER will feature shops at the street level, with 13,688 square feet of ground-level retail space and 514 parking spaces in a structure above the shops.
