Blake Casper kicks off Tampa City Council campaign

Blake Casper, the McDonald’s magnate who launched his bid for Tampa City Council, District 4 at the last minute, is officially kicking off his campaign Thursday.

Casper is hosting his opening campaign party at the Oxford Exchange, located at 420 West Kennedy Blvd. Casper is the co-founder of Oxford Exchange. 

Valet parking will be provided and lite bites and beverages served.

Casper faces incumbent Tampa City Council member Bill Carlson. Carlson may face an uphill battled against his wealthy opponent. A recent poll showed him lagging behind even a hypothetical candidate. That poll was taken before Casper joined the race.
