St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch will join a team of 39 other mayors from around the world to participate in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative.
Welch will be in the sixth class of the initiative, which is a yearlong education and professional development program. The program is designed to equip mayors with the leadership and management tools to tackle complex challenges in their cities and improve the quality of life of their residents.
To kick off the program, the mayors joined Harvard faculty and renowned management experts in New York City for a four-day, immersive classroom experience and convening.
