Nick DiCeglie seeks $750K for Florida Holocaust Museum

by The 100 Companies

Rep. Nick DiCeglie is seeking $750,000 for the Florida Holocaust Museum’s Preserving Holocaust Survivor and Testimonies project.

The request would cover employee salaries and benefits, exhibit expenses, conservation of artifacts and exhibit installation, among other expenses, for the St. Petersburg museum – one of only three accredited Holocaust museums in the United States.

The funds would come from the Florida Department of State budget. Lawmakers allocated $750,000 in the 2021 budget year and expect to request similar funding in future years.

The museum is home to more than 19,000 original artifacts.

Corcoran Partners lobbyist Michael Corcoran is lobbying for the request.
