Tampa Bay will soon have a direct air connection to Iceland, a destination growing in popularity for its natural beauty, food scene and easy access to the rest of Europe.
Nonstop flights from Tampa International Airport to Iceland’s capital of Reykjavík aboard Icelandair begin in September 2017. The twice-a-week flights will be available year-round.
The Icelandair Stopover program is sure to become a major draw. Passengers can spend up to seven nights on the island at no additional airfare before continuing to one of 26 destinations in Europe. Basically, it’s like getting two vacations in one.
