Need some fresh air? No need to go further than neighborhoods in south St. Petersburg. The Trust For Public Land ranked the Sunshine City 15th overall nationally, making it the best city for parks in Florida.
Some of our favorites:
– Dell Holmes Park has a playground with a splash pad, a driving range for golfers, nature trails and a fishing pier.
– Boyd Hill Nature Preserve offers an educational experience with guided tours, wildlife trails and an aviary with hawks, owls and other birds of prey. Admission is $3.
– Lassing Park is ideal for enjoying serene waterfront views close to downtown.
