Gasparilla Parade ‘Pirate Fest’ returning to Tampa

by The 100 Companies

The iconic Gasparilla Parade, often referred to as Pirate Fest, is coming to Tampa Jan. 28. The popular Children’s Parade will be Jan. 21.

This year’s Pirate Fest main parade is sponsored by Seminole Hard Rock, while the Children’s Parade is sponsored by Chick-fil-A.

As always, the parades will cause multiple road closures and extensive crowds in the Bayshore area. Parade route maps, road closures and parking and transportation availability can be found here.

Gasparilla is named after mythical pirate José Gaspar and features floats, marching bands and exuberantly adorned onlookers and participants.

Entrance is free, but select seating can be purchased.
