Bayfront Health St. Petersburg will soon demolish its building on 66th St. N. to make way for a new emergency room and medical pavilion.
The hospital applied for a permit last month to raze the existing building on its four-acre site. The new facility will include a three-story, 42,000 square-foot building with a 14,000 square-foot emergency room at ground level. The emergency room will include 12 exam rooms, including two resuscitation rooms, a waiting room, and an ambulance bay.
Medical offices will eventually be located on the second and third floors. Construction is expected to begin in October.
